City of Baton Rouge Energy Assurance Plan
In 2010 the City-Parish of Baton Rouge received a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop an Energy Assurance and Resiliency Plan. The purpose of the plan is to help the City-Parish to maintain critical facilities and functions during accidental or intentional disruption of energy supplies. Manchac Consulting Group, Inc. worked in conjunction with Burns and McDonnell, Inc. and SCD Consultants to develop the plan.
Scopes of Services for the Rehabilitation include:
- Determine the short-term technology solutions to temporarily meet the energy demand of critical facilities and functions.
- Determine the policy, procedural, financing and training mechanisms needed to support the technology solutions.
- Ensure that the planned solutions and mechanisms reinforce federal, state & regional emergency response objectives and are tested.
- Examine some long-term technology solutions to permanently meet critical energy demand and to enhance grid reliability.
City of Bossier City - Sewer Collection System Master Plan
Manchac engineers developed the sewer system hydraulic model for this project using SewerGems software. Data from two months of flow monitoring was used to build the hydraulic model. Results of modeling were used to build a Sewer System Improvement Master Plan to insure the city eliminates problems associated with I/I.
