Daniel Dehon, P.E. – Coastal Engineer
Daniel is a registered engineer intern with a Master’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Louisiana State University. His research focused on the use of artificial oyster reefs as a means of shoreline protection. He has five (5) years of experience in coastal engineering including the following: project management, master planning, ecosystem restoration, engineered design, technology transfer, research and development, surveying, GIS mapping, and technical report development. Danny specializes in coastal restoration with an emphasis on marine ecological engineering and aquatic biological solutions for sustainable shoreline protection in the Louisiana Coastal Zone and beyond. His past projects range from small local restoration projects to parish wide master planning. He has collaborated with both the State (CPRA) and the US Army Corps, as well as a number of NGO’s and state agencies on his projects. Mr. Dehon sits on the executive board of the Louisiana Chapter of ASCE’s Young Professional COPRI Group.
